As the owner of a 2019 Goldwing DCT Tour, how can I argue with this list. It's a tremendous motorcycle. 25, 500+ miles in 14 months and it's been a champ. Got a ways to go to live up to my previous Goldwing. It was retired at 288, 303 miles.

The best touring bike is one you feel most comfortable on

Having the Road Glide on this list instead of the Indian Challenger, which in every way is better than the HD, makes this list suspect.

The Kawasaki ninja 1000sx in the video is not the 2021 model and the 2021 model it's completely different from the model that was showed here it comes with latest technology new display cruise control 4 different riding modes etc I think it should be more in a higher position. over all I enjoyed this video and i agree that the Honda gold wing to be in the first position.

U place that Road Glide in there & missed out on the Challenger, ZX-14, FJR etc...also with the V-Strom & Versys in there then what happened to the other Adv bikes?

Top touring bikes, and you have the K1600 GT instead of the K1600 GTL...

I had a ride out on my Kawasaki Z1000SX the other day, together with two friends both riding their BMW K1600GTLs. As per your review, their bikes have every gadget and gizmo under the sun, and are probably more comfortable too (not to say that mine isn’t comfortable.) Their bikes look huge next to mine (partly because of the fancy top box/backrest/armrest set up, it has to be said) and definitely much heavier, also I was a bit envious of the low seat, being 5’8”. But aside from all that, although they pack considerable power especially in the middle range, when we were out on the open road, although we weren’t being competitive I always felt I had the definite edge on them for speed whenever I wanted it. Well, half a second on them 0-60 and 40mph on them for top speed to be precise, but the point is, I could feel it. I also thought the colour schemes (one was in the gray/black, the other was in that gray/pearly white) were rather bland compared to that inimitable Kawasaki green, and all in all I think my Z1000SX is easier on the eye. I’m pretty sure they paid a lot more than me, mine being the 2012 model, and I’m absolutely sure they pay more for parts and servicing, especially if those gadgets and gizmos start playing up. OK so unlike them I still have to clean and lube my chain every few hundred miles, big deal. And with that gargantuan tank they need less fuel stops. But all in all, I am more than happy with my ride, and when the time comes to change it, even if the K1600GTL is within my price range, the only bike I’ll be going for is the newer model of the Kawasaki Z1000SX.

Interesting list. I agree that the GW is at the top. I’d list bikes as above and below $14k. The less expensive bikes are better suited to less than 500 miles a day, and some off roading. The more expensive ones are better for 700 miles a day and more, but a bit heavy for confident off roading. Also, any motorcycle lover worth her salt has to be heard saying that they best bike is the one in your garage. Go, get on it, and ride it.

How can a HD Road Glide Special and a KTM 1290 Super Duke appear on the same
Highway 'touring' and adventures are DIFFERENT

But, where is the mighty Yamaha FJR? Come on..

I thought this was a touring motorcycles list not a street bike list, no Harley ultra limited, no Indian Roadmaster, no Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager, no Yamaha Star Venture. This list is a joke unless your version of touring is what most people barely call cruising.

The only two you got right were the Harley and Goldwimg!

The RT 1250 diserves more then that, and if you put the multistrada here you have to include the GS1250, well i understand that would be a problem, couse in my point of view BMW obviously have 3 bikes on the top 4 with th Goldwing being the only bike that can argue both with the RT1250 and the K1600GTL, none of the other come close, and the GS and Multistrada competing for a more all road (off road style) where the GS obviously wins by a good margin, couse its more competent off-road machine, wile the Ducati its more like an XR1000😅(yet another bmw) and the Tracer 9 in this category its a joke😆!👍✌️ In this segment BMW wins by far.

I don't consider at least 4 bikes on this list as touring bikes because they don't come equipped with panniers. Anything but hard luggage is going to get wet so that leaves out any sort of so-called soft luggage. You folks need to get out and actually tour on a motorcycle in inclement weather and then redo this list to about 5 bikes that actually let you tour without getting everything wet.

I dont wanna hate but genuinely i dont understand the structure of the video, theres different types of touring bikes all over the video, not like best of each type, not all of the same type, its all the generic tourers everyone expects.

Awesome video, yamaha is the best in durability and quality . With less things to be done as it ages the best.

V-strom "compact and lightweight frame" - 236 kilos and that's without panniers! But that's among the lightest here. The "Adventure" bike world has gone from the ridiculous to the ludicrous. 175 HP for a tourer? Who are you kidding. Where do you need even half that power anywhere in the world for a "tour"? Overpowered, over-heavy bikes are yesterday's machines. Keep up.
