OnePlus 8 Pro 2 Months Later - Good UPDATES?

You know what they say: "Be careful what you wish for cause you might just get it."

I've been reviewing OnePlus phones since the 3T and every single one was marred by the word "but," and the infamous "for the price" catch phrase. The phone is great, "but" it lacks water resistance. Or it's water resistant "but" it lacks a certification. Or the display is 90hz "but" its very dim. Or Warp Charging is super fast "but" there's no wireless charging. Or the camera has improved "but" it's only good "for the price."

We Powerusers are like Darth Vader. We'll hold any company accountable for what they promise, even remotely while staying at home. I know, I loved the meme. Point is, I think OnePlus got tired of having its strategy be considered an excuse.

This is the OnePlus 8 Pro, the company's showcase of what it's like to lead with speed, and really, and what I'd call, the company's first-ever true flagship, that's still priced a tad below than the phones it trying to compete with. This phone actually felt more baked than the OnePlus 8 when I first started testing, but it's received the same exact software updates, so let's see if it does live up to the major leagues. Maybe it's just me, but I love the camera on this phone. And I have an S20, and have also had the pixel 4xl and iPhone 11 pro. I've gotten more compliments on shots from the 8 Pro than on any of the others - especially the macro mode shots

This phone does seem to be quite amazing! I was VERY impressed by your front camera samples because OnePlus has been giving us smudged front camera pictures for such a long time that it seems almost impossible that their so amazingly detailed now. Awesome!

There is some magic in your voice.
8 pro is clearly the best oneplus yet. Even without the color filter cam in my opinion. I wished oneplus was similarly aggressive with their 8 as well.

I kinda disagree on the camera part. Maybe it's a personal thing, but I've found the pictures to be at least as good as on other flagships. This phone has been practically flawless so far. If you're still hesitating - don't.

I love this channel's reviews. I'm more interested in the rumored budget offering, the One Plus Z. Give me something that I can justify buying. Can't justify $900 when my car also needs tires. I'll get the tired first but want something < $400.

Wait i'm so confused. Every other review I have seen says this camera is flagship level and goes toe to toe with any of the other flagships out there in terms of still images, beating some of them. So how has the camera suddenly become sub par?

Now, regarding Oneplus 8Pro, yes 5G is still in its infancy stage. If you can buy an iPhone 11 Pro Max without caring for 5G then you sure should buy 8Pro as well..!

Cameras seem quite good and let's not forget photography is a purely subjective thing... what's good camera result for me may not be good for others and vice versa.
