This is Not Natural and is it Right!?

👀This is a firefly Axolotl ….. this morph isn’t natural. They cut them in the embryo state and fuse them together.

Some do this for profit some for research but is it the right thing to do?

You can share this but please credit : @jaywil07 on instagram for the video content.

Firefly axolotl is done by fusing two axolotl at the embryonic stage, they do not feel pain and its just unnecessary, I mean a cross colour axolotl is cool but axolotl is cool enough for everyone

Why would you do this?
"To help learn how to repair embryos and save unborn babies."
Understandable, have a nice day. How bout you?
"Frankenfishy worth monies."

I wonder If they ever looked at each other and be like"aint that my tail?"

This is a very common undergrad experiment that’s done in colleges. Raising them up and selling them is more humane than euthanizing the axolotles afterward, like what’s done when they’re for research

Yep. Salamanders don't form scar tissue. It's why they can regenerate limbs and we can't.
Why the Spiderman villain is called "the lizard" and not "the salamander" is beyond me.

What's important is the consideration of cruelty. Swapping embryonic tails is odd, and unnatural, but it does not affect lifespan, health, or natural behavior so it isn't cruel. Declawing, debarking, and ear cropping affects natural behavior and does cause pain, and is certainly cruel. Tail trimming is cruel is my opinion, but I'd rather everyone cut tails then EVER declaw or debark, those are just monstrous.

If I had a nickel for every time he misspelled the word “Axolotl”, I’d have three nickels.

If doesn't sound right for the axolotl's sake even if it doesn't hurt

Everybody who says this is bad but thinks pugs are okay is demented.

I think it doesn't look any cooler than a usual axolotl but I'm glad it doesn't harm them and I think it's cool how it looks seamless

It reminded me of a kdrama called Connect in which the main character can not reattach any of his lost body parts but also take other peoples to replace his and his limbs can attach to anyone

I wouldn’t personally do this or endorse this but if I had the chance to adopt a rescue one as chance to give it a better home I would

People saying its not right are gonna lose their minds when they find out plant splicing is a thing.

It makes me feel sick but at the same time I hope the effected axolotl get the care they deserve

I'd say it's alright, they're in their embryonic state and can't feel it, that, and it clearly doesn't harm them

The embryo cannot feel pain at that point and the fusing is painless
It’s done for research into the axolotl since we know very little
Breeders do this due to the demand from consumers

I’d personally never seek one out but I’m fascinated by all of the cool traits made through research.

It would be cool to have a regenerative ability, I mean humans do have one since you could regrow/regenerate organs however that same can’t not be said for limbs.
