What it’s like to be a school nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic

Nurse Holly Giovi of Deer Park, NY takes us into her office to see what it’s like to work on the frontlines as a school nurse.

dang, where is this at, i live in az, and every friend from different schools, are all saying the only difference is a small spacing between desks, and crappy masks, yet this looks like a hospital.

We never had a nurse at our school. We had a lady that put band-aids on the boo-boos and called our parents if we ran a fever, but I distinctly remember them not calling her a nurse for what I now think are legal reasons.

I would think the hardest part of being a nurse is being aware of the corrupt covid-related policies of the hospital you hope to work for but you are forced to go along with if you want to go forward with your profession. What a challenging moral predicament, so early in your career.

According to Johns Hopkins University, as of November fourth, there were 233, 729 deaths in the United States this year from covid-19.
If one divides that number by the population (330 million)and multiplies x 100, then .07% of Americans died from covid-19.
That means that 99.93% of Americans did not die from covid-19.
