Collecting learning activity data via xAPI

Thanks, a company I work for has been asking me to create support for xapi learning content. I had previously made support for scorm, which was pretty easy, but I had problems getting my head around how xapi sends data to the backend. The information about the learning record store cleared this up. Now I just need to roll my own record store.
