I don't get why you guys are taking this so seriously. It is ment as a joke both are good machines and have very specific purposes. Plus of course jcb has a vested interest in making the backhoe seem better as everyone that is sold globally by any company jcb will get some of the profit as they still hold the patent.

A tracked mini digger can do a lot more than dig if it has a engcon tiltrotator. I would never use an excavator without a engcon tiltrotator

i like how they don't compare it with one of their own excavator's instead they use a kubota

I think this is not a fair test, a tracked machine, wiith one single bucket, to compare with a rubber tired machine. To have a fair test, you would need a wheeled compact excavator, that can work with a bigger tilting bucket, and fork and is able to tow a trailer or use other kind of tools.

The mini digger lost all the chalanges because it included the travel time if the jcb was that good it wouldn't be vastly out numberd on almost all real life jobsites

Absolutely ridiculous can a 3cx dig drainage in a building with steel up and a roof on with fall arrest nets hanging down, great on a nearly finished housing site with big access roads that have been tarmaced no good in the middle of winter on a muddy site & confined spaces where moving position regulary is a must

Well yeah a excavator and isn't very good a material handling, towing and doesn't have 40 mph road speed. But can a backhoe turn 360 degrees and does it have tracks and what about the blade in combination with the arm
