Follow up video with the current state of unRAID 6.6.1 and 10 Gigabit Networking. Many things have changed from the previous video, however we are still able to hit 1GB/s.

Hi, Been watching some of your videos, I like the topic of Unraid and 10G networking, or just faster transfer speeds and general home networking.
1. How can Unraid be used for fast network storage? My understanding is that transfers are limited to the size of your cache disk and the mover clears it to the slow butterFS spinning disk array. Is this the limiting world with Unraid as network storage that we live within or is there something better to setup?
2. I go modem to router to other devices including Unraid. Are there benefits to going through Unraid before your other computers?
Thanks.

With your Unraid server setup as bridge, it works as a passthrough (switch) for your PC.
Your PC configuration should use your router (192.168.1.1) as gateway and not the Unraid server to access the Internet.
