i see a lot of people hear “i’m a black belt, see, i’ve got no fatigue, ” but i’m pretty sure it’s actually “ima blast off, see, i’ve got super speed, ” which makes much more sense

EDIT: its been officially stated to be “im a blast, im a beast, i never fatigue.” so i guess both were right and wrong, in a way

A rotund, portly scientist compresses his heavy frame into the chair while the multi-screen monitoring system starts up, readying to feed him live images from around his factory. The first visible image appears at the top left hand monitor, and no sooner than the screen displays small, consecutive explosions with metal fragments everywhere, all preceded by a spiny looking blur, does the man’s rage flare. The same scene multiplies across the camera system, robot after robot, turret after turret, all exploded by his rivaled arch-nemesis. His fingers rapidly dance across the control panel, ordering reinforcements, modifying the defense strategy of his machines, but to no avail. Regardless of the amount of units, amount of fire that rips through the air, not one hits their target, while the reviled hedgehog effortlessly dismantles every single one of his inventions. Alarms begin to blare indicating the surmounting cumulative damage to the base is beginning to affects its structural integrity. Faced with no other option than retreat, the doctor’s fists pound against the control panel, his eyebrows furrow, his lard-filled torso ripples, and a bitter scream erupts from his throat and reverberates throughout the base. “I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!”

Sonic Mania's Act 1 is the PAST... this means that when you enter act 2, like in Stardust Speedway, you’re entering the PRESENT. The one with Green-Eyed Sonic... that’s crazy!!!
