I agree with the people who prefer when the Wayne's death was a random act and it just was kind of consequence in living in a city like Gotham. You know that expression die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. I noticing the same thing with comic books where if popular franchises are around long enough eventually there's this compulsion by the writers to fuck with things or to go back and retroactively tamper with plot points that were fine as is. For example they're doing the same exact murder conspiracy shit that they're doing with Bruce Wayne's parents with Peter Parker's. In some of the newer content it's been kind of alluded that Peter's parents were spies. And then I remember like Ultimate Spider-Man his dad is a scientist who worked on the super soldier project and created Venom and the plane crash was a means of getting rid of his claim to the project (ngl don't mind this as much as it is a elseworld). There's even some story lines where May actually is Peter's mom because she fucked around and like cheated on Ben or something groddy like that.

To the people complaining about the Wayne’s murder being more than just a random act, remember that these are stories being written to tie into a nearly century long mythos that has been constantly changing in many ways. There are of course gonna be various inconsistencies and different interpretations of certain events.
