Should’ve said, “Hated by people with skill issue”

You may hate C++ but there's no other oop language close to it in terms of maturity, many essential software depends on C++ and it will still be around for a while.

correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like hating c++ is a skill issue

JavaScript is #1 hated language in the world. 90% of all bugs are JavaScript.

I really don't know why people hate C++, learning curve is high of couse, but once you learn it you don't have to learn any other language, it is designed to be a better C and C is already powerfull, so you can do whatever you imagine with C++

So this might be a dumb question, but why is VBA hated? I started programming in VBA in order to automate parts of my job, having never done any real coding before, and it's honestly been a breeze to work with and learn. It's obviously limited to Microsoft Office applications, but that's just the context it's used in so I don't think that's the end of the world tbh.

In my opinion, if you know CS basics and some electronics, c++ is easiest language in this list.

Python is not in the list
Python developers are happy😊

I get Java is a pain to work in if you're trying to build smaller side projects because of all the boilerplate and repetitive syntax. But in a large project, Java is better in my opinion. Because of it's strictness, type safety, etc, when multiple developers are working on the same project, you'll start to see the code as much cleaner and better to understand. And not to mention, Java is fast (i don't exactly know how), and plus, using frameworks like SpringBoot and libraries like Lombok can significantly help with making Java projects easier, because most of the boilerplate stuff is either already handled, or can be handled through annotations

Why R ???!!! R is the language used the most by researchers in many fields for statistics purposes. Easy and feasible and tons of useful packages that solve varieties of problems that helps humanity. I dont agree

Java is good
Stop hating on one of modern programming language pilars
It's true that recent languages are "better" "faster"... But Java led the modern programming world to where it is today

I love C/C++, the first two languages I learned. Although I've forgotten the last time I've written a single line of those :). But I'll never stop loving them

Asm, in my opinion shouldn’t be hated because its what powers your PC to boot. And should be learned and taught in programing to understand the CPU and other stuff better.

Asm isn't a programming language, but a list of mnemonics that directly translate to CPU instructions (ie. it isn't compiled, but assembled). It is also therefore specific to each CPU architecture.

Why is R hated? Performance issues? Syntax is easy

Nearly 20 years ago back in high school, I had a programming class where I used 'Visual Basic' to create interfaces and games. Is that VBA?
