How to Actually Sketch in Public (Successfully)

How do you sketch moving people?? There's a trick!

When you're drawing people in public, they'll shift between certain positions. If you quickly get their gesture laid in, you can go back and forth between their poses.

For complex drawings, it's helpful to sketch in the things you don't know well. People, you can draw from imagination. But the specific scenery and details you'll want to get from life.

I just did this without knowing it ! Sketching ideas how you want an almost finished piece to look then going back avoids adding to much to the final drawings

I got kicked out of a Facebook group for letting it slip we artists do this and not agreeing with them that it was reprehensible and disgusting 😂 as if we actually get a likeness in the 2 minutes we have to get a drawing down lol...
