Orba 2 freestyle loop

well, this is a single take recording of a loop created on the orba 2. what you see is what you get. no fancy edits or frills. just an example of something that can be created on the orba quickly without rehearsal or any prediction to overall structure. just an on the fly creation. I will be working with this device more and hope to provide some nice sounds with it.

know this before spending money, the software is some of the worst phone based software i have ever used. to make a loop like the one in this video you cant use the app at all. even having it connected can cause issues even if you a not using the app. I spent a good amount of time making an different loop on this device right before making this video just to have the software and the unit crash and reload me into an "update" that wiped all my work. gone like it never existed. this issue can happen at any time. with or without the app, just much less without the use of the app. only with the app can you adjust instrument FX and volume and doing so is literally 50/50 at best the system freaks out and crashes. where this device is very VERY intuitive and "expressive" as advertised, all those benefits are just destroyed by the frustrating nature of the random crashes and shut downs of the software and the physical unit its self. ive had mine a cpl months and this is a continuing issue. im glad to have this device. it TRULY has unlocked chord structures i would have never ever found on a keyboard. but it comes at a serious price. your patience and much of it.
