In 2024, Subaru released the 3rd generation Subaru Crosstrek and in 2025 Subaru is making changes that I think we'll all be pleased with. I'll also address a couple Subaru features we won't be getting on the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek that many people have asked about.

My biggest wish is that the climate controls are returned to fully tactile, traditional buttons and knobs, and removed from that screen. I'm sure Subaru has heard the many complaints but I wonder if they'll do anything about it or if the screen controls will be on every model forever.

Would love a front camera in the wilderness.

Subaru: We don't think the Crosstrek needs a heated steering wheel in the US.

New England and the Upper Midwest: Am I a joke to you?

Two things I wish I had on my 2023 crosstrek limited are a sunglass holder and a rear hatch light.

I have a 2021 Crosstrek sport with the 2.5 liter. I traded in a 2017 Standard WRX with the 2.0. The Crosstrek 2.5 isn’t a powerhouse, however I traded my 2014 2.0 Crosstrek that couldn’t get out of its own way. The 2.5 Crosstrek is quick enough to not make me miss the WRX too much, it’s a great comprise.😊

Bought our 2025 Outback Touring XT last June and last Monday, helped a good friend purchase a 2024 Crosstrek Sport. Can't wait for the next gen Outback!

I have had my CTW for just 2 1/2 weeks, but boy am I having fun driving it. Not a speed demon by any means, but I am not trying to race anyone so I am fine with it. Such a cute, sporty little SUV. Power lift gate is not necessary, IMO.

Test drove a 2024 Crosstrek limited and a 2024 Crosstrek wilderness today… coming from a RAV4 hybrid. I should be making a decision this week.

Appreicated your time to make the update video for 2024-2025 changes as I have been considering the Crosstrek for a while. Many channels don't bother putting out a video if there were not enough changes.

The best and coolest color is the Crystal Black Silica on the Outback!

In defense of the rear gate (wish it was powered just because I sleep inside mine when I go camping lol) it’s quite light. It’s very easy to open and close, thankfully.

I’m glad I came across this video this morning… I made an appointment to test drive a 2024 Crosstrek limited and wilderness… The dealership I’m dealing with wants to move their 24s… My lease is up in one month on my RAV4 hybrid… I’m used to heat steering wheel and a power lift gate but I’ll be going from a compact to a subcompact so I have to realize you will get less features… I agree with the narrator here that the rear liftgate is very light. I tried it several times without the hatch strap. asked for horsepower. I’m sure 182 is enough for me as in my RAV4 hybrid I have 219 so we’ll see what happens.

I’ve like the Crosstrek but I just haven’t pulled the trigger yet but this helps

while touch screens are fine(mostly) I know up here in Canada for the winter it's a slight issue. I have a friend that bought one and in the colder days the touch screen is super slow in responsiveness.

Will the premium with the 2.5 still be built in Japan ?

I had a 2014 hybrid and frankly, with the extra weight of the battery, and other issues such as rear suspension not strong enough, not worth it.
I recently traded the 2, 5 litre Legacy for the 2024 Crosstrek withn a 2 litre engine. There is little difference in performance, except the 2.5 litre does the same job, about twice as efficiently and therefore preferable .
My biggest complaint is with the cruise control. It uses the brakes constantly and unessessarily.this could cause brake fade on an extended hill, and huge wear and tare.
I am a dedicated Subaru fan, but seemingly can always find issues to improve
