I have two pensions. I would much rather have had a Roth 401k throughout my working lifetime. $500/month invested from 25 - 65 at 9% is $2.3mil. I hate my job but can't leave because of I won't get my state pension. What do you think about doing a 70/30 stocks bond ratio?

I received a letter from SS and it says I am getting a 2.5% increase which amounts to less than $100.00 per month. So, that's one tank of gas for my truck (at current prices) or one lightweight shopping trip at the grocery store. Yeehaw, whoopee! What a slap in the face! And I still make less than those allowed into the country illegally, and unlike them, I put in 50 hard years working and paid into the system for all of those years for what I am being paid by SS.

I get a $32 increase but they took $15 of foodstamps $118-$103. I’m disabled, how does someone live off less than $25 a week for food? I couldn’t live off $118. It means more nights of no meat and skipping dinners & lunches. This isn’t fair at all. I’m beyond poverty with my SSDI. 😢

The cola adjustment is a joke. Giving soc sec to gov workers simply drain more money from soc sec.
