The longest continuous international border is the United States/Canadian border and is 8.893 kilometers long followed by the Kazakhstan–Russia border, 7,644 km and the Argentina–Chile border, 6,691 km.

The shortest land border in the world is actually between Penón de Vélez de la Gomera, a Spanish enclave in northern Africa, and Morocco, and is 85 meters (242 feet) long.
