Strange and Unexplained Rural Disappearances In The UK

► In the UK someone is reported missing every 90 seconds. Every year there are between 180,000 and 340,000 missing person incidents here in the UK. Most are solved and a conclusion is reached, but some of the disappearances remain unexplained and in rare instances no clues, or traces are ever found. The disappearances you will learn about throughout this video have never been solved and remain a mystery to this day. All cases contain some very strange elements, similar to that of the Missing 411 profile laid out by David Paulides.

All disappearances took place in a rural setting and some confused the local law enforcement who were working the case.

Hey, I’m quite interested to hear your thoughts on these cases, so do share them. Also, my apologies if things sound different here - I’ve just moved house and my new office is a bit echo-ey because it’s not fully furnished, but I’m hoping that will be resolved in the next few weeks. Friday today, thankfully so do have a good, yet safe weekend!

When I watch these, I’m always wondering about the families left behind. How do they cope? Do they ever give up hope? I think I might go mad with not knowing.

I don't think people always lie in wait. Some are opportunistic with thier crimes...

I want to know what spooked those kids in the first one that caused them to split up.

Absolutely fascinating. . . . And absolutely terrifying

The girls on the bikes were most likely abducted. No one has to lay in wait both could've been crimes of opportunity. Random or perhaps even followed to said rural locations. I would've taken a close, long look at all residents within a 40 mile radius.

This is by far my favourite channel on YouTube. I find the whole missing 411 thing fascinating. The way you put your video’s together is really professional & they look outstanding. Getting a notification of a new Top Mysteries upload is the highlight of the week

David Paulides has several stories about young men missing in cities and several parents requested an autopsy and they found GHB. Someone is harming these young men. You do a good job of telling their stories.

Could you make a clustermap of disappearances in the UK, that resemble the missing 411 cases? So that it visible where they happen the most and where they never happen? The geology part seems interesting to figure out. Thanks for the upload!

I'm so glad someone is trying to map some of the British disappearances. A lot of them have at least some similarities between the 411 cases and I really think that we need to have a way of looking at these unsolved cases together. There have been so many disturbing missing cases along the Manchester canals, for example, although that almost looks like something on its own that really needs looking into - someone about those cases in particular really give me the chills. I know Steph Young has done a lot of work about this in the UK, and I'm happy that someone else is documenting these people and what happened to then. It may be just that we haven't got all of the pieces of the puzzle and so it is difficult to know what happened to individual people, but until we can put them all together and take a proper look, it is difficult to either link them or separate them. Something is going on, whether it is an extremely well organized group taking people, or something else, that's for sure. So sad for all these people and their families, I just hope they get their answers one day.

Another fascinating (and disturbing as hell) upload - thanks. Whatever this thing is, so far it's unstoppable.

Really frustrating when law enforcement says, we have no evidence of foul play. Well they don’t have evidence that there wasn’t foul play either.

As someone who used to live in an area like those described in the last two cases, I have experienced people roaming the countryside for nefarious purposes. My experience was with a man driving around the little housing development out in the middle of nowhere where I lived. He was driving around to ask women to take a shower with him. Luckily, I and the women I knew in the area worked together to call the police on him so he would stop.

I've read a couple of books recently (one by the excellent Professor David Wilson) where British serial killer, Robert Black is mentioned. He de!ivered advertising posters all across the UK and during his travels abducted and murdered 4 girls. The first victim was snatched off her bike on a quiet, rural road in Northern Ireland. He was an opportunist, his victims were tragically in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is known to have been in the areas where Genette Tate and April Fabb were abducted. If I remember rightly the CPS had just about got the case together to charge him with Genette's murder when he died in prison a couple of years ago
