I feel like the difference between TikTok and platforms like YT and Spotify is that in order to blow up on YT, generally, the whole song has to be good or catchy. But in order to blow up in TikTok, one certain part of the song has to be very good or catchy instead of the whole song

When Roomie announced that he was going to start streaming while he filmed I will admit that I was... skeptical. I guess I was afraid the videos would turn into those stream highlight compilations. Watching it though, it's clear that the quality of the videos is just as great as always, and I have to admit that inclusion of the occasional comment from the chat adds a really fun element. I love it!

I love how vastly different each of the songs are depending on what platform they got popular in. I've never actually took a good look into it so this was fascinating.

I think that "novelty" tracks like Marble machine have much more depth, thought and emotions behind them than most pop productions that nobody will remember once it isn't mainstream anymore... That's true for most music without much or any lyrics like Intro from the XX or Glitch Mob stuff and also more classical music for that matter. Even indie pop is so much more diverse and actually interesting to listen to than most of these overproduced songs.
