Idk. I wasn’t planning on planting potatoes this year, but this feels like a sign that I should 🙂

Exact that way I planted out my potatoes a week ago, drove my trovel into the compost, made a slit and drove the seedpotatoe on the backside of the trovel, while pulling the trovel out, into the ground. Simple and easy.🤷‍♂

If I planted potatoes with no dig, I would plant them sprouts down. Then you get more length of stem before it comes above the ground. The result is better tuber setting and fewer green tubers.

Charles, I have to share. I watch your video’s over, over and over. My five big girl dogs (American bulldog’s, boxers) are ALWAYS with me. So lately I’ve been planting some roses, trees and other flowers and while working around the yard I have been finding potatoes. Over the last week, I have found 22 spuds. Now the girls either think there “balls” or they are onboard with “no dig potatoes. Im thinking it’s the later.

What varieties of potatoes would you recommend for early, high yield/small gardens with limited spaces? And would you recommend using early varieties and succession plantings for cooler climates/short growing seasons like 4b?
Thanks.💐🙏🏻🌱 Keep growing.

Fantastic! Will do that when Spring comes (Australia here so seasons are opposite to yours). Btw, do you need special seed potatoes or can I use any store bought potatoes that have sprouted eyes? I used store bought last season and had great harvest, but keep hearing other people say it’s better to use organic seed potatoes so it doesn’t introduce disease to your potato crop etc.🙄 Is that yet another bit of misinformation? 😜
