I had a C.C and the pump had a module on it, that causes it to go out. I diagnosed by removing the seat, had someone on the back to hear the pump if it was running. Once the pump stopped we unplug it and plug it back it and car kept running fine. So that gave me the direct source of the problem. Sometimes it can be a lifter on the engine side or the pressure regulator can go bad at times too. But long story short start by the Pump, after you take the back seat out and you see a module on top of the fuel pump then that might be it. Some vehicles don't have that module on top and if that's your case then it's another issue in your car.

Had similar problems with an Audi, it was the low pressure fuel pump not giving enough pressure.

My car does the same thing but I have a 3.2 fsi audi a4 b7 Quattro. It will run fine until it gets hot. Then it stalls but it will be able to start up right after it shuts off but will continue to stall. I've replaced the
Crankshaft position sensor
Valve cover gaskets
Fuel pump
Fuel filter/with regulator
Fuel level sending unit
Maf/map sensor
Vacuum lines
Coils and sparkplugs

Thanks for this. My Passat B7 has same problem which doesn't seem to occur if I drive far like over 100kilometers. Only happens when I do short distances in the urban area

Replaced fuel pump in tank - same problem! 2004 VW Jetta 2.0 dies without warning - after engine warm up and driving. Outside air above 65 degrees F. New battery also. In line fuel filter replaced last year. New spark plugs.

If its a fuel pump thats bad, then why would any vehicle start up perfectly the next morning when the vehicle is cold.

I had an audi 5 cylinder, 1985, the car after it warmed up stalled and would not start until the next morning then it would start perfect when the engine was cold. Turned out that on my 85 it was the coil wire it was almost worn out.
Thats what it was.

Here's an update to this video. VW has just sent out a recall regarding the fuel pump module for the B6 Passat and the 2009-2016 CC.

Hi there. Thanks for all your help putting your knowledge to get our car fixed.

My car have two problems. Jetta TSI 2.0 t. 2013.

First one: If drive very hard for a little bit and turn off, during errands, after parked for 20 min, when I come back to take off, engine stalls; turns over but no fire, if I wait for 20min works fine.

Second problem: when i floor it, car surges, rpm moves up but the car won’t, if I let go, works fine, if I want to go fast I have to push pedal gently then surges at the end of rpms, around 200km/h.

Codes are:
P0441
124b
025c

I am changing the charcoal box, oil pressure sensor that’s it.

In regards to the stalling. I wiggle the module on top of the pump and I found a wire loose.

My problem with stalling when hot is gone., at least i think.

But I don’t know for how long.

What about the surge problem.

What do I do ?

I am using only 95 octane gasoline.

I need help if can’t fix i will sell it.

Thanks man.

Hello everyone, I have a 2006 vw passat 2.0t and it stalls after about an hour or two of driving, check engine light comes on and the car jerks then shuts off and wont start for another 5 to 10 minutes. As soon as the stall happens i make my way home as quick as possible just in case the car fails to start but when i wake up the jbext morning and start the car it runs fine no check engine light if i push the car hard and floor the pedal its stalls in 10 minutes which is why i have to drive the car slow and not get the rpms to high or it will stall and it using alot of fuel i mean im getting horrible mpg. When the check engine light does come on its gives me code p000A camshaft slow response bank 1, it just got out of the shop the mechanic said at first i had a hole in a vaccum hose or something like that but when i picked the car up i didnt even make it to the freeway before it stalled after heavy acceleration i took it right back to him and he had it for another said he fixed the fuel pump module the car ran fine for about 3 days and is now back to stalling after heavy acceleration or a 1 or 2 at speeds no more than 45 mph im really starting to hate this car can anyone tell me what they think is going on cause my mechanic obviously doesnt have a clue

Hi . I have same issue with my 2006 audi a4 2.0 all started after a coolant leak after i replace the termostat were i had the leak. change gas tank pump, high pressure pump, purge valve, coolant sensor. i had a mechanic who actually said that the mechanic who change my termostat didnt connect one of my fuel pipe which cause the car to not getting the right fuel so he recommended that i change out the high pressure fuel pump which i end up doing but ive been still having the same problem with car warms it stalled like battery i dead and when cool down it starts again. please help maybe i have air in the gas line as ive read on and article that it could be air is that something you would recommend?
