Setting aside for a moment the insanely high cuteness level of the flying marshmallows....you are 1000% correct about the effect of skewers on flavor. This is a well-documented phenomenon here in Minnesota, where it has been researched for decades at the Great Minnesota Get-Together (also known by its more prosaic name, the Minnesota State Fair). The variety of food is mind-boggling, and yet the makers find ways to put much of it on a stick. There are exceptions, of course - the mini donuts, the fried cheese curds, the bucket of fresh-baked cookies, and so on - that aren't really practical to load onto a skewer. But pretty much anything that CAN be served on stick WILL be. Deep fried candy bars? Sure. Alligator on a stick? Step right up. Food on a stick is a precious part of the experience ❤
