Color changing MARSHMALLOWS? 🍡🎂 #food #shorts

I saw these new Jet-Puffed color changing marshmallows and just HAD to try them out! Bit disappointed with the results, but gonna keep testing until I get these things to actually change color!

Recipe:
- 20 large blue marshmallows
- 20 large pink marshmallows
- 6tbls butter
- 6 cups rice krispies

1. In a sauce pan, add 3tbls butter. Cook until melted then add in blue marshmallows. Stir until fully dissolved. Pour in 3cups rice krispie cereal and stir until fully combined. Transfer to 9x9 greased baking dish.
2. Repeat process above with pink marshmallows. Layer marshmallows ontop into baking sheet. Cut, serve, enjoy 😊

These marshmallows are for roasting and its actually the fire that changes colors due to the vhemicals on the mallow

I used these not to long ago, and it is when you roast them over a fire. It’s really neat actually, and the little kids that were hanging out that night had a blast with them.

I imagine they only change color from roasting them until they turn golden and that makes them look like they "changed color"

Solution:I've had them before and you don't melt them you microwave them and it gets kinda melty but it changes colors!❤

U need too roast it in a fire so it can change colors

You're meant to cook over flame so it develops a crust before melting

We actually bought these when we went camping once. They do change color trust me but when you roast them over a fire. That looks good tho 🤤🤤🤤

I used to have them if you go over a fire. They both can't turn yellowish brown. But they kind of work, but it has to be overfire. D you can't heat them up And hope them to change.

They have small vesicles of some food safe yellow/orange color. You'd neet to heat them pretty substantially probably in something like water or just left dry in a fire. I suspect the low melting point of the marshmallow prevented the vesicles from releasing the yellow pigment before it was the right texture for a treat. I suspect it's just a small bit of turmeric.

They do work! I have had these before and in order for them to work you need to roast them. (Over a fire or stove etc.)

When they said they colour change when heated, I think they mean like toasted/roasted whatever not melted
