Funny story, I got tired of this error message. Went to the mechanic, he used the computer and found no faults, he went crazy trying to figure out the way to have this message dissappear. I instantly Googled the cure, landed on your video, had him try this and BAM! Laughed my ass off while we admitted to learning something new today.

For the inspection now you really save me. I was going to go to the dealership and have them to turn it off when I did my oil change. I knew how to turn it off the oil change one but not the inspection now thank you I would have never known that

Awesome tutorial & to the point, will continue to come back here when need be. Japanese import to New Zealand vw golf 2014.. Because it only has the 0.0 button on display screen you click that twice to reset. 👌.

Thanks for this - the oil change and service notifications are two separate deals I think. I managed to clear the oil light - but was always left with the inspection notification .
Now I know.
