Got a real horror show Tau paint job off Ebay - caked layer on layer... Going through tests leaving them for different periods of time but it's working to the extent that detail is back in the model :}

Ill definitely try this, I'm a big noobie to warhammer and im ok when it comes to assembling the figures but ...erm....when i try to paint them...yeh...best not talk about that, but this is really useful since I'm only trying to on one mini figurine of a space marine for practice.

@FmMan33 If you Spray on and rub off it does not affect the glue at all. The way plastic glue works is by melting the plastic figure together so the glue cannot weaken as it is the plastic of the model. For super glue im not sure. But If all else fails you can always just re super glue the model. Its better than losing detail through 4 layers of paint such as the Tau in the video.

@cherrypowered Yeah some people use car primer and it reacts with the plastic slightly so its super hard to remove.

Wilkinsons sell bottles for around £3, but it tends to drop A LOT in the early months. spring clleaning sales and all that

I was looking how to do this a while back. Instead of removing the paint however, I needed to remove the white primer spray, that was hell! It's some stubborn shit.

@FmMan33 Nothing can beat a new set of miniatures but you can get some good deals on ebay for badly painted figures, that's where the Tau figures came from. You might not get a perfect miniature but you get a big saving, don't forget to factor in postage to the total cost. Thanks for Subscribing!

@LiquidMagick I just call all spray paint primer, I actually used GWS spray, I had a duff can of skull white that fucked up a bunch of models, all better now I stripped it off and started again with black

yeah gave the normal stuff a try- didn't work.

on the other hand I tried using nail varnish remover and it worked almost perfectly, but thanks anyway :)

@LiquidMagick Sweet, will subscribe and check it out ;) - A lot has changed, most notably prices -.- I remember when a Space Marine Tactical squad was £13(20$) they're now something like £18(27$). Doesn't sound like a big change, 7$, but it all adds up. :\
