Our guest speakers are:

Dr. Pierre-Olivier Bouchard holds an engineering degree in computational engineering and applied mathematics and a Ph.D. in computational mechanics. He is a professor at the Center for Material Forming Processes (CEMEF) of Mines ParisTech in France. He will present his research “Mesoscale analysis and 3D numerical modeling of ductile fracture”.

Dr. Emanuela Bosco obtained her MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Brescia (Italy) in 2009 and a Ph.D. in Numerical Methods for Engineering in 2013. She is Assistant Professor in the Chair of Applied Mechanics and Design at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), the Netherlands. She will present her research “A computational model for chemo-mechanical degradation of historical oil paintings due to metal soap formation”.

The event was moderated by Dr. Marcela Cruchaga, holder of a Ph.D. from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña and member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering - Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
