OUR GUEST SPEAKERS FOR THE FOURTH WEBINAR:

Dr. Ricardo Lebensohn holds a PhD in Physics from Universidad Nacional de Rosario, Argentina in 1993. He is currently senior scientist of Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Theoretical Division, Fluid Dynamics and Solid Mechanics Group, in New Mexico, USA. He has worked in the area of structure/property relationships of polycrystalline materials for more than 30 years. He is an expert in crystal plasticity modelling.

Dr. Martín Idiart holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and Ecole Polytechnique, France, in 2006. He is currently Professor of Rational Mechanics and Researcher at the National University of La Plata and CONICET. His research focuses on the development of continuum theories and mathematical methods to describe, explain, and predict complex behaviors of engineering materials.

The event was moderated by Dr. Marcela Cruchaga, holder of a PhD from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña and member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering - Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
