SingHealth team develops new ventilator that is cheaper and faster to produce

COVID-19 patients who require breathing support could soon have access to a new type of ventilator. Designed by a team of Singaporean doctors and engineers, it's about five times cheaper than the conventional model and can be produced in just a month. It can be used in a pandemic when ventilators are in short supply. The new model uses ambient air instead of high-pressure medical gas and can be operated remotely.
