I worked in a foundry making car rims. We melted aluminum ingots, very dangerous job. One drop of sweàt or anything with a minut amount of liquid can cause serious injuries. A guy I worked with had an ink pen fall from his pocket into a casting down tube. When the ink hit the molten metal, the reaction was the metal exploded back up the down tube and blinded him..that little pot of gold could cause a lot of damage..be careful guys.

Preheating ur mold is a good idea if you don't want the liquid gold to explode in ur face... ya know just a thought 🤷‍♂️

I guess:

The ingot has 4cm*10cm*20cm = 800cm^3

The density of gold is 19, 3g/cm^3

800cm^3 * 19, 3g/cm^3 =15440g

But the ingot is not pure. Maybe 14kt (0, 585) so
15440*0, 585=9032, 4g = 290, 4 Troy ounces

The price of a troy ounces is $1825 (23.02.2023).

I estimate the price of the gold bar at $530, 000

That's the good thing about gold. No matter how stolen, it can always be melted down. I don't mean this guy. I'm talking family to pawn. Most common is family.
