Thank you so much for this video. I was diagnosed with BFS 2 months ago and I’m still trying to accept that those twitching might never go away

You do a great job explaining in a calm matter. I was just diagnosed with BFS and like many, I was freaking out. So much I couldn’t eat or think of anything else. I acknowledge it takes some time but as you effectively described, don’t think about it and it will minimize the effect or impact it has on your life. Sounds simple but it’s not for most of us but it is absolutely the right thing to do.

Thanks for the video! I started getting twitching all over about 6 months into quarentine. MRI negative and neurologist not concerned. Also, they started a few months after I found out I was gonna be a dad. This helps convince me it's anxiety with quarantine and new responsibilities!

I have had this for a long time. Your videos have really helped me out. Thank you for putting yourself out there. Your points are right on. My calfs twitch all the time and have been for about 10 years. Two years ago my left tricep started twitching and it's a crazy hot spot. It comes and goes in my tricep. It seems to come back after lots of time off. I have had hot spots and random twitches. The more I analyze the worse it gets. I have seen the GP and Neuro and both were unconcerned. I have OCD and lots of anxiety. I try to stay strong and enjoy life.

Wow, I can relate to pretty much everything you've mentioned. I woke up with a weird twitch in my thigh which I stupidly googled a few days ago. Since then I've been on constant alert to every sensation in my body which has definitely caused me alot of physical symptoms of anxiety and more twitching! It only seems to happen when I'm lying down or after walking etc but this morning when I woke I had nothing... I just need to learn to calm down and not focus on every single sensation.

I would like to say a huge thank you to you, sir. Recently, I had a strong twitch in one of my fingers and I decided to google what it could be. When I found out it could be ALS, it sent me into a major panic which was constant and I become incredibly anxious for weeks. I started to notice twitches all over my body and became hyper sensitive to every sensation, including perceived weakness. I now realise that actually I’ve been living with twitches for years and haven’t paid much attention to them until I decided to do that google search. The anxiety it’s given me has only made the twitching worse. This video has further underlined that I’m okay and need to learn to realise that my twitching is BFS and anxiety. Thank you!

Dearest friend. Greetings from Spain. I used to suffer this kind of fasciculations as far as I can remember.
Sometimes I went to a neurologist that says to me I'm healthy and this twitches will came and go many times.
I had them in very different parts of my body.
I suffer hard anxiety since 6 months ago and now I have twitches in my left bicep for a week. I only feel them in the night. My anxiety grows even to difficult me breathing.
Listen to you was very useful to understand that it shouldnt be my last days in earth.
Sincerely yours, a huge hug.

I’ve had this since I was 13 and it’s progressively gotten worse and for years I’ve had no clue why. The fact that’s it’s been happening for 6 years is now making me super anxious but before that I had no anxiety issues. I still have no clue what triggered it because I was probably at my best mentally when it started. I’m so tired of it. It wakes me from my sleep and hurts and it happens every single day. I want it to go away so bad and no doctor cares to help. They’ve all told me I’ll grow out of it or it’ll
Go away but 6 years is a long time to deal with something.

Thanks for the video. I have started twitching randomly for the last 2 months or so. Still working out and increasing weight. However after a google search I’ve convinced myself of the worst. I know my anxiety heightens all of this since I notice them more when I am constantly thinking about the twitching. I also relate to the part of mentally waiting for my hands to go weak and constantly focusing on every little movement. I actually stopped noticing the twitches for a few weeks but when they came back I googled again which is like a cycle I need to quit. It has me waiting and looking for symptoms I don’t have! Frustrating.

Why is it that you can be twitching for a while, but as soon as you want to look at it, it stops. It’s like the twitches know you’re going to look and don’t want to be seen.

Started twitching a few years a go.. had it for a few months and then it stopped.. started twitching again about 2mo ago after I was prescribed high blood pressure medication, started fasting, exercising a lot, sauna.. now twitching and tingling sensations are all over my body, face, scalp.. and my anxiety is through the roof which is what I suspect is what's causing the twitching

I have been twitching for almost an year and half, started firstly in abdomen and now its all over body thigh, back, arms, ass, eyelids and other random places...
Initially i googled it and get to know about more serious disease with similar symptoms and that made me anxious and started to overthink but somehow i manage to ignore it and i constantly have it for 1½ years...
After reading these comments i feel comfortable..
