To Roy and the writing+editing teams if you see this: the interview and the skit were masterpieces and elegantly managed and portrayed. The selected interview clip got the point across in a succinct manner that's (imo) clear and consistent in sticking to the demonstrated issue without losing the sincerity of the delivery. Honestly, hats off and hoping Roy officially takes over if this is the kind of tone the Daily Show will have for the years to come

One line I think encapsulates this issue of learning about history, especially the uncomfortable parts, is the line from the Lion King: “Yes. The past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it.”
Currently Ron DeSantis is running as hard as he can from the past and making this an issue and letting other parents run from the past

Talk about our colonial past and slavery. We also have changed laws to make immigration from countries once colonized easier. I am proud that we recognize the evil that was done before by our ancestors and we are trying to be better

If Roy doesn't get to be permanent Host I hope there is plans in the future to give this man his own show. Also this sketch made me nostalgic in that it had such a strong In Living Color vibe to it.
