If you respond like this, you'd get slapped by the police. And don't forget the moral policing aunties and uncles, who may even beat you up in the roadside, for doing PDA. Leave PDA, some boys and girls get harassed by public / even arrested for sitting next to one another (in some parts of our country).
So I'd suggest not kissing/ even doing any kind of PDA in India. The "law" may protect you from jail time, but it wouldn't prevent the initial attacks from people in the public.
