I Bought an Auction BIOHAZARD Honda Civic EK Hatch - How Bad is it?

While at an auto auction, I came across this 1997 Honda Civic EK Hatchback. This was categorized as a biohazard with no key. I saw it and decided to roll the dice and buy it without knowing the condition of the engine and transmission. I grew up wrenching on these old Honda EK Hatch's so this one felt special to me and I wanted to save it. Stay tuned to find out if it actually runs!

So, definitely install a kill switch to prevent it going missing.

Run an ozone machine and dehumidifier in there a few times with the air on recirculate before you really start cleaning. It will help kill the spores.

It's up to you what you want to do with it but I'd suggest keeping it as stock as possible, maybe flip it or make it a sleeper. This is a nice find man

These Honda hatchbacks are really neat looking cars. If i were to get one i would leave it stock just the way it is "lame i know" but doing the necessary mods and replacement parts if needed.

It's crazy how durable these are, we won't see that again with the new car being so complicated and filled with electronics. I would keep it stock and use the k swap kit for a more clapped out civic. Just discovered this channel and i'm subscribing to see what's next!

For future biohazards, I would recommend a p100 respirator or equivalent as those cloth and paper masks do very little for mold and such

Personally, I LOVE the stock look on the Honda. Stock cars are worth just as much as the modded ones, especially JDM classics.
