Jewish Chicken & Meatball Fricassee Recipe

My ex-mother-in-law was a terrific cook and that was her only redeeming quality. This recipe is based up on her Fricassee. She actually used frozen Minute Maid lemonade for the sauce.
8 ounce tomato sauce
14 oz diced tomatoes
1 heaping tablespoon tomato paste
Handful of brown or golden raisins
1/4 cup lemon juice & pulp
1/3 cup brown sugar

Bring sauce to a simmer for about 20-30 minutes
Shape meatballs into the size of ping pong balls
You can either brown meatballs in olive oil first, then add to simmering sauce or drop meatballs directly to sauce. Let them cook about 30-35 minutes. Covered. Serve over rice or noodles.
