Ive done this on instinct for years but i didnt know it had a name till now.

so the jab defense is essentially the same as the closed stance matchup but how you defend the lead hook and backhand straight is reversed:
(i) closed stance: duck under the lead hook & roll with the straight back hand
(ii) open stance: duck under the straight back hand and roll with the lead hook

I was doing it before I watched this video and I'd say it's amazing to be sure that you do something right! My mind was like man do it cause it's the best way to protect and counter orthodox fighter. I don't like traditional ways of defense
