What is a Financial Advisor?

What is a Financial Advisor? In general, a Financial Advisor is someone who wants to help you improve your financial well being & help you grow your stock market investment accounts. However, depending on where you are at on your stock market investing journey, you may or may not need the same Financial Advisor as someone else.

For example, if you just sold your small business for $3.2 million dollars then you have some complicated tax & investing planning that you should likely do. Conversely, if you are very little stock market assets and some financial spending behavior problems, then you don't need a Financial Advisor...you likely need to make some changes first before thinking about hiring a Financial Advisor.

In an upcoming video I discuss some of these financial behaviors and how you can make some changes to improve your financial health.

Hope you found a nugget or two in this one. Cheers!

An informative video on the role of a financial advisor! A financial advisor plays a crucial role in helping individuals manage their finances, plan for the future, and achieve their financial goals. Whether you're saving for retirement, buying a home, or investing for the future, a financial advisor can provide valuable advice and guidance. This video does a great job of explaining the importance of a financial advisor and how they can help you navigate the complexities of personal finance. #FinancialPlanning #Investing #Retirement

I had two and I moved on from both of them. It wasn't them, it was me :) In all seriousness, I figured out early on that I followed the market and my investments more than they did. They all, in my experience, seem to follow the same path. They want you in more than 10 funds, emerging and international, cash, etc. I went back and forth with my last one and we came to the decision I was better off managing my own. Thankfully, we were right. I keep track of what funds they had me in and thus far YTD I am up 20% and their funds are up 5%. Add the 1% I would have had to pay them and the higher expense ratios, I would be down significantly from where I am now. They're not bad, but they don't seem to think on their own and, as mentioned, follow a similar path. :)

Glad to see you back on YouTube, I wondered if you signed off permanently.
