When Harry Belafonte introduces know you are THE MAN! Saw him at LAX Airport in 2004. Didn't want to bother him so I put my hands together in praying hands and bowed slightly without saying anything to me. He smiled and beckoned me over. I didn't ask for an autograph or say a word. He waved me over to him and gave me a hug and wished me "travelling mercies" and he disappeared into a black Yukon. That memory is way better than his signature. Brava Senor Santana. Listening to your music is like taking a trip through the UNIVERSE!

Bravo MAESTRO! SANTANA is a living legend! I am over 70 years old, I am from the old Soviet Union(from Yerevan, Armenia). It was difficult then to acquire your recordings and listen to them. because there was an iron curtain between the Soviet Union and the outside world. Carlos you are a legend In my heart! You not mexican or american you are man of the world, you know. His guitar is not playing, his guitar is crying, he talks to people on the guitar. Bravo MAESTRO!

Buddy Guy can sling his soul through the strings of a guitar like greased lightening. What a Legend who inspired so many other artists. That's Right!

I’m 65- grew up in El Paso- my older brother loved Santana. He invited me to see live concert _ Santana !! My parents said I was too young but my brother convinced them. My first concert - Santana. 1975. Memories, older simpler times.

Santana is not just a musician, he's a minister who channels his soul trough his guitar, recalling the spiruallity of the world trough his songs. Listening the preach of Santana's guitar take you somewhere else, it elevates you.

From Autlan, a little town in Jalisco (a Mexican state) to the world. Carlos Santana, you are my hero. I've heard about your teacher, Javier Batiz, who said he didn't want salsa or cumbia being mixed with rock. Well, now I know that we shouldn't always do what our teachers say. Thanks for following your own heart and soul.
