My keys to throwing hard, which I didn't know about or use, back when I was playing.
1. Flexibility and stretching
2. Using your GLUTE and hips w/ hip shoulder separation.
3. Mechanics and using your own momentum
4. Train the best velocity program that's catered to you, the individual. You'll get better results.

I was student of the Tom House program and it killed my fastball. I was throwing "all arm" and no longer used my body's natural momentum. I was trying to do the "t post" and all that did was allow batters to pick up the ball quicker. Sry for the rant.

Ive pulled my shoulder blade muscles twice and my elbows popped a couple times.... in the past few months
1: Overuse
2: Not stretching enough
3: Not warming up well enough
4: Generating to much energy for tight muscles to contain.
Putting in a couple hours a day has made me go for, ''Damn, that kid ain't gonna make it next year in high school.''
Too
''Damn, that kid ain't gonna make it next year.'' from those same people but, ''You are a freak athlete.'' to people who actually see me before they doubt me.
