The Haitian immigrants started coming to Springfield in 2018 during the Trump administration. Springfield was a dying town before they came; their presence has enhanced the economy and in 2024 the town has collected over 1 billion dollars in revenue.

I served in the U.S. military alongside some amazing Haitian men and women. Many of whom enlisted in order to gain their U.S. citizenship. Imagine that, voluntarily signing your life over to defend a country that is mostly unfamiliar to you, in hopes for a better life in this unfamiliar country someday. Most Americans don't have that kind of will, determination, and bravery.
