It took me a couple watches of the movie to realize that at 1:20 in this clip, that octopus thing is Cthylla, Cthulhu's daughter. Her head is like an octopus but has talons on them and she guards Cthulhu, and Cthulhu's minions guard her.

How much better would it have been had they not made any of those generic monster sounds? If it was like being underwater and they didn’t really make any kind of noise that would necessarily be interpreted by us? That quick shot of the creature appearing over her shoulder would have been so much creepier and more effective had their been no sound other than the water itself

Missed the part where they were trying to make it inside while avoiding the debris. Was looking for that scene. Don't know why that scene creeped me out with seeing the creatures just standing there watching them

Is it just me, or is the baby creature Paul and Smith brought back remarkably similar to what might be created if Alien (Alien V Predator, the Queen being plunged into the ocean after final fight scene) had hatched out of the chest of an underwater creature...🤯

You miss a couple of scenes: whilst they’re running from falling debris, the creatures are off on the edges of the screen watching them.

The only thing this movie is missing is the secret documents that prove the company knew the monsters were down there but continued operation anyway because it considered the crew "expendable"

Great movie HOWEVER the larva were to humanoid and lacked Exposition on "the beast"

Imagine if there is such creature way deep in the ocean...i mean just chilling there not knowing we're up here until we get it's attention by exploring or sending a few nukes in the deep abyss...I'll be terrified if there is such.
