I haven't used this sort of knot in many years, but now I remember how useful it can be. Thanks for sharing! (those elastic holders suck)

I’m just glad you brought up the Solomon knot/square knot/ cobra knot issue. As always thanks for the video!

Ok, I've gotta state the obvious. The "only need one dangly thing" was hilarious!! 🤣

I did this mod along with a cobra knot top handle wrap for my Tomtoc sling. It’s primarily a black bag, but has some red highlights, so I got some red/black camo cord from your store for the weaves. I love how it came out, I really feel like it personalizes the sling to me. I also added a fun bead on a tail at the end of the handle wrap for a little more flair. Thanks for the information and inspiration. Carry on.

Literally just made one of these keepers for my messenger bag. Gonna see how it performs when I work tomorrow, thank you for the idea Tim

I did the same thing with my daughter's scout Belt 2 years ago… she hated the extra length that was between the belt loops…. So I made her an extra "loop" to put the end of the belt through to hold it in place…. Cobra knots are so useful 😊😊😊

I have had this exact issue with my Alpaka sling, ended up ordering oversized metal triglides that fit over the buckle. Can’t believe I didn’t think of this! You’re a legend!

Looks like a cool way to add a pop of color if you wanted, too. Speaking of color - that's a clever trick, coloring in the white core with sharpie. I'll have to remember that one!

Wow! What great and useful video! I bought elastic bands but often were too tight or too loose.
So I’d cut them and restitch them. But even elastic doesn’t last. This is very helpful. Thanx!

That’s a great idea so simple yet great. I can’t stand dangling straps so thank you very much for sharing your solution 👍🏻👍🏻

Hey thank you for the ebook. That’s really cool you did that. I’ve been watching for years and love the videos. Thanks again.

Just discovered your channel and immediately knew it was for me! To abuse a popular maxim, “to a man with a box of paracord, every problem looks like an opportunity for cord weaving and knotting.” Or something like that. Anyway I’ve got a lot of dangly straps that need paracord cobra keepers.

This is great! The keepers on my fall arrest harness suck!! I'm gonna fix that tomorrow with this little trick. Thanks!

Great idea, Ive got a few old 5.11 packs that have knackered elastic retainers, I like to roll the excess webbing and tuck the whole roll into the elastic so I am hard on them. I had been thinking of simply sewing some fresh elastics on but will try some cord first, cheers.

Seen this video, and modified two sling bags within a half hour. Awesome solution! 👍👍

I wear a body harness at my place of employment, same issue with crap Elastic bands, tried using Electrical tape, since the straps on my harness didn't really need regular adjustment. That too, wore loose over time. Definitely gonna give this a whirl whenever I find some paracord!
