Even for billionaires, some purchases are splurges. From skyscraper houses to priceless works of art, the world’s elite buy ridiculously expensive things to fuel their passions, showcase their wealth or spend the money just because they can. Whether it’s the most expensive thing they own or just the most exotic, the splurges of the world’s wealthiest are always interesting.

First I would buy a stupidly large chunk of land, like I’m talking I’d buy a Rhode Island size chunk of land out in the middle of nowhere. I would proceed to build a massive, ridiculously reinforced wall around it HEAR ME OUT... then I’d hollow out a mountain or two and fill them with rooms and all kinds of crazy things; I’d then develop a massive “pure green” infrastructure - solar, wind, water and waste recycling, etc. - and make that bitch totally self sufficient. Once I get a solid ecosystem so to speak, I’d have analysts figure how many people I could support and then just begin to gather and ‘process’ the nations homeless population. By process I mean get info, clean up, give medical treatment etc., and assign new living quarters. I’d get this protected little sanctuary fully legitimized as my own little nation or at least a new city or state or something. Just something to help all the homeless kids as well as adults that suffer on the streets...
