You don't need to open it with windows. Just press the pda button and put it inside of Odin

when you root.. it could potentially install a custom recovery such as twrp or clockworkmod. It will also root your device. Following this video wil unroot and give you stock recovery back

i'm unable to wipe data/factory reset.. even dalvik cache.. phone restarts into recovery

It's not working! (yes i've tried with several cables!) Thing is, it fails after sboot.bin ! I have no clue on what to do! and my phone is completely FU*KED now! All it says on startup is: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.

So I tried to "unflash" and reset my phone back to stock, using your method. But it seems my phone is now BRICKED. It says the Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, it says Unsupported firmware, can you please help???

Hey, , Like an idiot I did the sprint update and now my USB Pdanet and foxfi tethering option has been disabled. Will doing this stock reset being it back to the original 4.1 instead of  the updated  4.3 so it will work again???  Thanks

When I press the volume down +home Power button the screen goes blank.But when  I depress the buttons it's stays on the metroPCS logo screen.Please  help.Oh by the way I rooted my phone  then I deleted some apps then I had  problems.
