I know this is a beginner's guide but some helpful tips I can think of off the top of my head are

Anti-nuke is very important, after 12 minutes you can be nuked essentially. You won't get a warning unless it's been fired or you, or a teammate has seen the nuke silo.

Air is very dangerous if you are not prepared. Players can switch very quick to producing air units and wipe out multiple bases before a counter can be established. Have a defensive line of AA ready.

Protect early game metal extractors and your main base with at least 1 turret. People will try and sneak as he did ticks or pawns behind your line early on.

Push up with your commander as early as possible and control the map/your column of ground. You don't want to give up resources or make a hole to be exploited against you or your allies.

Push the enemy, if you have a competent force at your front line use it. Stalemating early will only make it about who has the better eco and is an easy way to lose opportunities to damage your opponents ability to recover and be a difference.

Surrounding enemy troops and firing on multiple sides increases damage. Is good for lower tier units ie: pawns against buildings. Lasers units also only get 50% damage at fartherest attack range, 100% at point blank.

Fiends can be devastating in tight areas against buildings and units. A group of fiends used properly can take out an opponent very quick.

Can't think of anything else atm lol very good video and hit all the early Game points. It gets very expansive at t2 and beyond. Game is so fun and feels different every match. Thanks for helping the community grow!

Friend turned me onto this game been a blast. Vids like this help me get back in the rts groove so I can learn enough to stop just playing bot games.

I’m 5 games into BAR. Thanks for this video. I’m a Total Annihilation original player currently playing SCFA LOUD. If anything this video has taught me BAR is an amazing, complex, fun, high learning curve game. Can’t wait to play more. 👍

Biggest tip of BAR is "Best defence is a good offence". The fewer the players the more this applies. Only in High Qty vs High Qty does defence have any effect at all. 1v1 offence is everything.

Also, Engaging in combat only to lose your force to a wreck field that your opponent now controls, is an overall loss. Only engage if you can also win the wreck field.

can we ally separate teams? Every time i set up a game with AI teamates, they usually spawn like SUPER close to me. Im trying to figure out how to reduce that, so they dont push into my area. Its not bad but sometimes they will plop things right in the middle of my area and i dont want them there. I can capture n reclaim the items but, it gets tedious.

You should know: Your voice is low volume. I have to turn my volume knob on my headphone hardware up way past where I'm comfortable being to hear you clearly. I checked my system volume settings and they are all max. Thought you should know. Thanks for the vid.

Most of the time I build a radar and guard tower as defence after the bot lab, prevents early aggression

hehehe you have to make more pawns cause your opponent has grunts, ah and also your pawns are almost twice as costly by metal xDDDD
see how that sounds xD. I guess best players just try to avoid making pawns vs grunts but i guess it is more of an advanced knowlage
