JD2 Model 32 bender fails (Brand new 2018/2019)

JD2 is claiming I "had issues due to improper use of the equipment". JD2 told me I should not be using their anti-spring-back pin except on a "very large die", however all of their dies are designed to be used with the anti-spring-back pin.

you give people a bender that is so easy to use.. & the one adjustable part will become "whats wrong with the bender" there is a setscrew for a reason, so maybe start there

I have not had that problem with mine. Maybe mine is machined a bit smoother I'll have to check the holes sometime.
I dont let my spring back pin drop all the way down to the roll pin (stopper). Maybe 1/8 of an inch or a little less from touching the die. But it still has enough drop down to stop the die from springing back. And after using it for a while I decided a tiny (TINY) bit of grease on the bottom angle of the pin and on the force faces (where it goes through the upper bracket) wouldn't hurt. It moves very smooth after that.

Adjust the block up a bit and your problem will be solved the bar is catching below the bevel. There's an Allen head screw just for this problem.

Maybe your die is upside down or you have the wrong dies for that. Should have beveled holes

We have the exact same problem with the same model 32 and we do not have hydraulics and yes it did tear into one of our dies

Do you need the springback pin with a hydraulic set up?

That is not a if 32 die. The die has to have ramps in it
