You can get individual parts by calling the customer service 800 number. They have a pricing catalog for parts online. Just have to pay for shipping I assume.

You can buy icon sockets individually. Talk to the store manager about it.

Honestly, Icon has put out some pretty solid tools lately, I run almost all of their Pliers along with some cobras but for $20 a plier I cant complain especially with the quality. their sockets are pretty evenly priced with gearwrench the only downside is there is no individual socket sets. Although in terms of the box I would look at the U.S Generals over the Icons, especially if you go through with the Mobile! Happy to see the content back though man!

Justin Dow.. I recently went down the Icon rabbit hole and bought a bunch of their tools. I also bought a lot of other tools from Harbor Freight as well. So far I love the all of the things I bought from Harbor Freight especially the Icon stuff. I bought two of the US General full bank carts and of the US General 27" top and bottom toolboxes. They work great, check out my videos on them. I wish they had a set of locks I could get so I wouldn't need 4 different keys for them. Yes, one key for all of them. I would like to try out their biggest Icon toolboxes with a top box and two end lockers, in black of course. So I could compare it to my Matco 6s triple bay. That would be awesome!

I also wish they sold individual sockets, and larger ones. We spent the last week camping with friends. His Duramax threw a code that the fuel filter was dirty. We were able to buy the filter, and the 36mm socket needed to change it, at Advance Auto. He doesn't need a whole set of huge metric sockets, but he needed one specific one.

I've been very satisfied with all my Icon purchases so far. I do think a few things could be cheaper, so i enrolled in their ITC program, which paid for itself on the first purchase with $30 off an a Fortress air compressor, and I usually try to wait for coupons to come along. The only real negative thing i can think of is they dont offer singles of a tool that comes in a set, but i haven't had an issue because of it yet.

Search around on eBay and Amazon you will find icon tools labeled differently but much cheaper all made in Taiwan

I have quite a lot of icon stuff I use on a daily basis at work. I think it’s good quality for the price. I always wait for a 20-25% off coupon to use to buy something icon so I always get them for a better price. For me the price and convenience are why I invested so much into them. I’ve broken an icon socket, a bit driver, a wrench, and a extraction bit and since harbor freight is on my way home the most amount of time it’s taken to swap one of out is about 5 minutes. I do agree with you there are some things that are better value from brands like tekton or gearwrench. Gearwrench and tekton have longer ratchets that are missing like you mentioned. Those are necessary for alignments. Astro has better priced swivels, tekton has more inclusive socket sets with better trays etc.
I am interested in seeing icon expand into the diagnostic tools since the quality and price point have been very fair up to this point (with some slight exclusions) but at the same time I do think they should keep Maddox for the shop equipment items.

If you call HF customer support they’ll sell you single sockets. They’ll even sell you individual parts for things; like say you need a coil starter for your generator they’ll sell you one

As an apprentice who’s been using icon tools for a year now their tools are really decent for the most part there’s some tools that they sell that aren’t worth buying like their snap ring pliers

Ease of warranty is one of their strongest selling points. The sockets and wrenches can be individually ordered its not that difficult.

Icon covers the 1/4” torque wrench with a 3/8, if you notice they have two flex head 3/8 models

That's another reason I ended up going with the used husky brand mechanic tool set, I can get almost any socket, extension, wrench, ratchet or the 4 broken bit sockets in that set from home Depot, , and I have either a abn or Orion motor tec caliper rewind set and it has a few brake service tools but I don't care for the brake spring pliers set, so I have been looking at a brake service tool set by abn all of them are on Amazon

Icon is my snap on. Price to value is unmatched really. Warranty is so much easier than sending in mail (or waiting for tool truck?) i dont know because ive never waited for a tool truck. Just walk in, walk out

I've yet to buy anything Icon... Quinn and Doyle + Pittsburgh...why bother with Icon when it costs so much to other name brands? Haven't seen the cost/value from Icon products
