It's wild how different Bricoles are. My family puts cappicola, a crustless piece of white bread, a slice of provolone, a little piece of celery, and a hard-boiled egg in ours.

Looks yummy. I grew up with my parents making Sunday gravy every week and i still do most weeks. I usually use spare ribs and i bake my meatballs on a cookie sheet in the oven, you get that same crispy outer. Did i miss where she put parsley or basil in the sauce? Also salt and pepper. And you have to toss that pasta with the gravy. 😊

I loved when my mom made Sunday sauce. (Yes, in my part of NJ we say sauce, or sugo; my stepsisters say gravy) She made it similar to this; sometimes she’d even sear off some pork chops and throw those in too. This was my favorite, in a little 80’s Corelle dish with some parm on top.
