I respect these guys for some of the advocacy work they've (Jonathan really) done in my home state of NC exposing Duke Energy power company in his documentary called Power Trip.

However, while I believe they mean well, this won't do anything to solve the housing affordability crisis. And when he was talking about in the 80s they didn't expect housing prices to increase the way they did, is funny bc that's right around the time people started looking at houses as an investment. While it worked out pretty well for the first few generations, each subsequent one got less and less of a piece of the pie.

The only real, permanent solution I see is for the government to build Social Housing (but this time do it right by making it mixed income).
