Be honest, have you ignored this safety warning?

Many of us have. But did you know that using boiling water can damage the seams of the bottle and add to the risk of burns?

That’s why you should leave the boiled water to cool for a good 10 minutes before filling your hot water bottle.

Did you know this? Share with someone who might not to help prevent burns and scalds.

I‘m sorry, polymer engineer here. No its not. The polymer/rubber used can easily withstand 100C/212F water, the safety warning is so that u don’t 3rd degree burn ur fingers while filling it up when being careless. It could also say: Use thick plastic gloves when filling up the bottle.
Make sure to never use the bottle without the cover.
Edit: The only real reason I can think of not to use boiling water might bc its too hot for toddlers when close to their bodies.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes?! It’ll practically be back to room temperature by then.

Just boil the kettle up 50/75% instead of letting it go all the way 😮
