What techniques do you use for making hot dogs?

People saying you shouldn't boil at all. You guys do realize that 99% of hotdogs you buy at restaurants, stores, baseball games, etc are ALL BOILED 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂

Boiled hot dogs are delicious you just have to know what you’re doing. Season the water with boullion, then after the water is boiling, reduce the heat.

I never cook hot dogs in water. My parents cooked them that way. Instead I cook all beef hot dogs in a toaster oven. I like them well done. Fat also drips out. I like then dark on the outside, almost burnt.

I always boil frankfurters, even before I barbeque them, sometimes I leave them longer than 10 minutes, and I've never experienced the effect that this article stated.

*Or just not put them in boiling water* . Rather, 1/4 inch of water in sauce pan, with 1st round of hot dogs, cover - yes cover - and bring to steaming, adjust heat to maintain steam-state, ready when dogs are steamy and tender ... renew hot dogs into process as required for full consumptive rounds.

Boiling them tones down the salt content, just take them out at about 4 minutes and char in your favorite way: grill, cast iron pan, wood fire, etc...

'Air fryer, ' microwave both work. It's a hot dog, taste will be determined by the condiments.

Whoever doesn't know this deserves the tasteless mush they're stuck with

I like to boil hot dogs until they plump up to double size.

It's perfectly fine to boil Hot Dogs.

Most people get creative with their water seasoning, lemons, onions and spices.

This is why I only cook them and cast iron skillets or over a grill. Seals all the juices and yumminess inside also chars it carbon is good for you.

Imagine eating super processed meat (hot dogs) and worrying if they get slightly plump from water.

my parents would cook hotdogs by boiling a centimeter or two of water and add the hotdogs, let the water evaporate, and add oil to fry the hotdogs.

I love hot dogs but don't buy them because of the salt content. So I have decided to boil them first, remove from the water and grill in fry pan without adding fat. Now I can enjoy having my hot dogs once in awhile. 😆
When I was growing up, my family always boiled our hot dogs...sometimes until they split open. 😆🤣
