I understand phages are bacterial specific, so they can only attack by maintaining specificity. But, what about the bacterial CRISPR mechanism that integrates phage DNA on their spacer DNA (genome) and a later time when phages attack and can save themself from the phages? then, what would be the solution or I am thinking in the wrong way? Still, bacteria have developed their own mechanism to save themselves...

Would that be possible to clarify?
