I do not see how any good can come from killing my own kinsmen in this battle, nor can I, my dear Kṛṣṇa, desire any subsequent victory, kingdom or happiness.

Hare krishna prabhuji,
Leaders should sacrifice their own comforts for their subordinates. We should not run away from our duty. We should act as per Krishna's will.

Hare Krishna. Key take away is that many people don't think of their responsibilities when they work rather they think of results or fruits of activities. It would be amazing to hear the nectar of Gita from Krishna that answers all questions of human beings. Earlier we used to think of days passing faster but now looking forward for it to move fast in hearing Gita. 🙂🙏🙏

Hare Krishna
Arjuna makes intellectual and compassionate statements forgetting his position and duty. How far can these be appreciated.

Roles of a leader !

Analogy of a mother who's not hungry and so she doesn't cook food for anyone.

This is how Arjuna is behaving here.

Nice explanation about the flaw in Arjuna's argument - no desire for victory, kingdom & happiness and hence not interested to fight - with analogy of mother who doesn't want to cook due to not feeling hungry. Good takeway for leaders - sacrifice one's comforts to take care of subordinates.

Hare Krishna 🙌
Wonderful explanation on the leadership quality 🙏
From outside, we may think that Arjuna was so wise to give away his Kingdom and fight against his friends, relations and masters/teachers.. but we fail to understand the mistake Arjuna was about to commit by not fighting

We, the people in general, are only bothered about our own happiness and that's why always frustrated. It's common experience among every walks of life that giving or serving others gives more happiness than just working to satisfy oneself only. But even though we know this, we don't act that way leaving ourselves bereft of any material happiness.
Moreover, we hardly know that our ultimate real happiness which is nothing but spiritual bliss, lies in serving Lord Vishnu or Krishna! So, we are neither materially happy nor spiritually blissful. Hare Krishna !

Prabhuji, beautifully you have explained how leaders need to sacrifice their comfort and work for others or their loved ones. Very good example as a mother. Arjuna is willing to stay in frustration but is not willing to fight. Hare Krishna 🙏

Second argument of Arjuna -

O Krishna, I'm not able to foresee anything good, after killing my relatives.

He says I don't desire any victory, kingdom or happiness at the cost of my relatives.

Conditioned souls are attracted to bodily relationships, hoping to be happy.
